The California Cookbook, Genevieve Callahan
I don’t know how useful this book is—I’ve never cooked out of it—but it brings back deep nostalgic memories in me as I grew up in California. Of course, many of these recipes have little to do with California. It’s a fascinating book to peruse. Supposedly, it was owned by MFK Fisher, but I have no way of substantiating this. Copyright 1946, first edition, first printing, hardcover, no color, 381 pages, condition good (dust jacket is beat up with tears) This edition is almost impossible to find.
