No one is quite sure who wrote this book which is largely farcical, like “chopped eggs without malice.” The original is very rare. This is a beautiful 1976 edition of the 1740 original, leather-bound, with beautiful thick paper. Condition is very good. On first inspection, it looks perfect, but there is some peeling of the leather surface on the back cover. It’s not a large area (about 1 × 1.5 inches), but it’s there. The corners and base of the spine show wear.
