La Cuisine Artistique, Urbain Dubois (in French)

$500.00

I bought this 1978 reprint edition in the early ‘80s and can find it nowhere else. It’s particularly fantastic because of its large format which so lends itself to showing these over-the-top culinary presentations. One of the books has one corner turning up. The covers, which are not acid-free paper, are browning. The inner pages show only very peripheral browning. The paper is almost pure white. Reprint of third edition (1888) by Edgar Soete, 1978. Two volumes, both softbound, volume one has 303 pages, about half of which are not cut; volume two has 303 pages, most of which have not been cut. Contains 166 large-format engravings. Measures 24 cm by 31 cm. Condition of inside is excellent; the outside is very good.
