Japanese Home Cooking, Sonoko Sakai
So many associate Japanese cuisine with sushi, that it’s nice to see a book that contains none. When I was in Japan, sushi was for special occasions, sometimes at night after going to the public bathhouse. But the most impressive food I tasted was the hot, savory food, mostly things I couldn’t identify but that were delicious. Here, we see cuisine as people prepare it in their day-to-day lives. Copyright 2019, first edition, hardcover, full-color, 298 pages, condition very good (a number of pages (about 15), have their corners turned down. I turned them up, but it has left a fold)
