Italian Cuisine, A Cultural History, Alberto Chapatti, Massimo Montanari
I opened this book expecting to see the all-too-common list of recipes, many for things I’ve seen more than once, when I realized there are no recipes, which is to say, this is my favorite kind of food book. I haven’t read it, but flipping through it, it looks indeed fascinating. Copyright 1999 Italian first edition, 2003, this translated edition, hardcover, no color, 348 pages, condition excellent (tiny scratch on dust jacket on spine)
