My French book, ignored by all, came out when the United States invaded Iraq. The French wouldn’t go along so Americans were angry and came up with such names as “freedom” fries. In any case, the book got no reviews and it is my favorite of my own books. It is based on 50 chapters, each starting with a simple well-known dish.
