Dining with Marcel Proust, Shirley King
This is one of those must-have books for anyone who has read through even some of Proust. Shirley (she also wrote a book about fish) King and I used to teach together at Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School. This book has quotes from Proust along the margins as recipes dominate the pages. I wish there were more Proust, but this book is still a lot of fun. Copyright 1979, first edition (published in Great Britain), hardcover, 160 pages, condition good (there’s no dust jacket, the edges of the paper are browning. I wrote my old phone number on the inside of the cover.)
